ABOUT CAMP OHR HATORAH

The Magic of Our Camp

Camp Ohr HaTorah was established in 2019 by brothers Menashe and Eitan Pitch. The camp was born out of a desire to create an extremely fun camp for boys, in a unique and exciting environment. The goal was to build a summer camp that encouraged and guided boys in Avodas Hashem and midos tovos, all through hands on counselors and a fun, family-like feel. We are driven by our motto - "camp is not just a place to go, but a place to GROW!"  Each summer since its founding, the camp continues to be successful in actualizing those goals, one camper at a time. Camp Ohr HaTorah counselors take great pride in the experiences and opportunities provided for the boys in and out of camp, and cherish their relationships with their campers all year round!

Wow, what an amazing summer Chaim had in camp! He was begging me to drop him off early and pick him up late because he was always having so much FUN! Everything was done RIGHT with so much love, creativity, and excitement! Menashe and Eitan were beyond incredible, paying attention to even the smallest of details - they put their all into this camp and it really showed. They let each kid shine and played to each kids strength- exactly what kids deserves in their summer experience.

  • How many trips does Ohr HaTorah do a week?
We have at least 1 official trip a week! Additionally it is not uncommon for us to have excursions to off-campus locations for exciting activities and adventures!
  • What are Ohr HaTorah staff like?
Ohr HaTorah prides itself on its staff. We believe that having dedicated and educated staff is the be all and end all of everything amazing about summer camp! Our staff are well trained and highly committed to giving each and every camper individual attention. Our director imbues a passion for jewish children and understand that each child will have completely different reactions and expectations throughout the summer. Our staff takes great pride and responsibility to meet those expectations and encourage growth in each camper throughout the summer!
  • Where is Camp Ohr HaTorah located?
Ohr HaTorah is located at Temple Beth Shalom (19140 Lyons Rd) on the beautiful and secure Century Village campus!
  • How many campers are in Ohr HaTorah?
Great question! We love our motto "where friends become family" and so we always keep a family-like feel no matter what, something we believe really sets us a part from all other camps. We have capped our space at 50 campers for the summer of 2024!
  • Is there a weekly rate for my son to come for a week or two?
Ohr HaTorah is divided into 2 multi-week sessions (see Dates & Rates for details). This ensures a mutual bond and understanding between campers and staff that is integral to a campers growth and development throughout the summer. This is a policy that we are extremely committed to, let us explain why: Part of our unique approach to the summer and chinuch is our understanding that each camper is unique and different. With different skills, preferences, talents and challenges each camper will experience camp in a different way. Additionally, we believe that camp is "not a place to GO, but a place to GROW" and in order to help campers grow throughout the summer, they must know us and we must know them. You can always reach out if you have any questions regarding dates for your son this summer!
  • Have a question that we didn't answer?
Reach out to our Director, Menashe Pitch, and he will be happy to answer any questions that you have! menashe@campohrhatorah.com 954-661-3636
